beautiful homes is a sci-fi dystopian silent comic about the search for a home, begun in march 2024. in this world, language has lost its function and is replaced by images from a bygone era. the story explores the search for one’s home, seen as a nest of happiness, a shelter from unknown threats, or a space of independence and self-determination. home is both belonging and separation, property and land, often to be defended—but where lies the line between protection and paranoia? the zine’s drawings question desire, ownership, and security, ultimately flipping the idea: what if the house itself resists habitation and has consciousness? this ongoing inquiry becomes the heart of beautiful homes, emphasizing the quest itself over any final destination. you can read the pdf here.
